I am excited to introduce myself as I join Westhill Institute Mexico City as an IB Individuals & Societies Professor. My name is Cesar Sarmiento Ramirez, and I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and grow.
I hold a Degree in Economics from University of California Berkeley and Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and have 22 years of experience teaching IB subjects such as World and U.S. History, Mexican History, World Geography, Mexican Geography, U.S. Government, IB Economics, IB Business & Finance. I also hold an international English teaching certificate. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. I believe in adapting my methods to meet the diverse needs of my students, incorporating hands-on activities, technology, and real-world applications to make lessons meaningful.
Beyond the classroom, I enjoy reading, writing and debating as well as philosophy talk. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues, learning from experienced educators, and contributing to the vibrant school community.
